    Download The Lord Of The Rings The Game.
    Description:
    Find you way from the shire, to rivendell in this timeless classic of Tolkien.
    You can play Aragorn, Pippen, Merry, Frodo, ect.! so go ahead, download it, for free!
    Requirements:
    - 386SX or better computer.
    - 3.0 mb's free of hardrive.
    - 1MB free expanded (EMS) memory.
    - Expanded memory manager software such
    as EMM386.EXE, QEMM, or 386 max (only for older computer's)
    - Adlip Gold, Pro Audio Spectrem, Diamond, Sound Blaster, or
    Sound Blaster Pro.
    - CD-ROM
    - Mouse and keyboard
    - 16-bit VGA Card
    - Speakers.
    Getting Started With DOS:
    -Download the file here.
    -Extract to a choosen file with WinZip.
    -Boot your computer with DOS.
    -Make sure the Lord Of The Ring's is installed in a file.
    If not, then do the following:
    Install The Lord of the Rings by typing
    C:
    \Lord-cd\game\INSTALL.EXE
    from the DOS prompt. If your Hard Drive is other then
    C: then replace the first letter with your hard Drive letter.
    Lord-cd is the file you extracted your file into, if it
    doesn't work that way, try \Lord-cd\INSTALL.EXE
    Lord-cd being the file the game files are in.
    -Anwser all the question's on the Install program.
    -To play type
    C:
    \Lord-cd\lord.exe
    *or*
    \Lord-cd\title.exe
    Getting Started With Windows:
    Go to the file you extracted the game files too.
    -Run title.exe
    *or*
    if that doesn't work try running Lord.exe
    (or)
    try install.exe
    If the game is too fast moving, that's normal for running
    it on windows.
    ****Optional: (not tested) Try running one of your favorite
    music cd's with the game, that way it more funner****
    Movement
    You control the leader of your party. The other members
    of the party will follow at their own pace. Move the mouse
    pointer around the map until the arrow is pointing in the
    direction you want to go. Press and hold the left
    mouse buttun until you want to stop. To change
    direction while moving just move the mouse until
    the arrow points in a different direction.
    Icon Menu
    The Icon menu is what all roleplaying game's have.
    To Bring it up press the right mouse button or
    press the space bar on the keyboard.
    The Icon's are as the following...
    Attack: Attacks any enemy withen range, when
    selected in a combat situation.
    View Character: Displays statistics for the
    character whose picture is currently shown
    on the screen
    Get Item: Allows you to either take treasure
    or items you find, or purchase items from
    merchants.
    Use Item: Allows the character shown on the
    screen to use, trade, or discard items. This
    also lets you see the character's inventory.
    Skill Use: Allows the character shown
    to use whatever skills he or she may possess.
    Magic Use: Allows the character shown to use
    magic spells or words of power.
    Talk: Talks to another person (an NPC) in the
    game. From the submenu, you may try to
    recruit NPC's, Dismiss characters in your
    party, Question NPCs (type your question
    in and they will respond, try different
    combination's of words, simple ones like
    "news" or last names or areas) or simply
    talk to an NPC. It is generally a good idea
    to let the NPC talk first and then Question
    him on what he says.
    Leader Choice: Chooses a new leader for
    your party. This should be the party member
    who posseses the most skills and magic.
    Options Menu: Lets you view Automap,
    save the game, load an old game, turn music
    and sound effects on and off, or quit the
    game.
    Exit: Exits the Icon Menu, and returns to
    full screen in the game.
    *note to talk to people you need to be
    fairly close to that person Just press
    on talk on the Icon menu, and select
    that Person's name*
